Thursday Battle of the Bands

Conditions of Entry:

- Four acts perform at 8pm, 9pm, 10pm, 11pm sharp.

- Sets end at 45 minutes past the hour.

- Bands have 15 minutes to set up.  Changeover delays will eat into your performance time.

- No sound checks.  Line checks only.

- House drum kit mandatory.  No drum kit changeovers, no exceptions.  Cymbals, kick pedal, snare and throne ok.

- No fee to enter.

- $5 door charge.  

NO GUEST LIST, NO FREE TICKETS, NO EXCEPTIONS.

- Heats judged by an industry professional engaged by Consistent Music at our discretion.

- Four heats, with winners advancing to Grand Final on week five.

- Grand final judged by multiple industry professionals engaged by Consistent Music at our discretion.

- Prizes for Grand Final are:

• 1st, $1000

• 2nd, Case of Beer

• 3rd, Lansdowne merch

• 4th, Lansdowne merch

- Judging criteria:

• Performance: 25%

• Songwriting: 25%

• Originality: 25%

• Size of Audience: 25%

Tips on how to win:

1) Bring a crowd and ask your fans to tell the door person who they’re coming to see.  It’s worth 25% of your score.

2) Be organised, be professional.  Set up quickly to maximise your set time.
